TIF introduces "Msc in Haemoglobinopathies"

Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF) is offering a unique advanced MSc electronic (e)- learning course in Haemoglobinopathies together with University College London (UCL), beginning on the Academic Year of 2008. The objective for launching this course is very closely related to the mission of TIF, which is “the promotion of equal access to quality medical care for every patient with a haemoglobin disorder across the world.” More specifically, this course focuses on:

  • Offering training on the holistic care of haemoglobinopathies to health professionals practicing in various parts of the world
  • Bringing together the expertise of clinicians, scientists and researchers involved in the control of thalassaemia from a diverse range of disciplines with the ultimate goal of preparing them to deliver innovation in clinical practice, research, education and training
  • Improving the health and quality of life of patients with thalassaemia, sickle cell disease and other severe haemoglobin disorders worldwide by educating international health professionals
  • Increasing awareness and knowledge of effective prevention programmes for haemoglobinopathies.
